Professor Retha Wiesner, Program Director WiRE Program

Retha is the founder and driving force behind the WiRE Program, wearing multiple hats as its founder, program director, pracademic, business innovation and growth catalyst, researcher, author and lover of dachshunds. She’s been at the helm of significant projects that connect our rural, regional, and remote communities, with over $12 million worth of research and capacity-building grants in the last ten years.

Her journey revolves around three intertwined passions: Entrepreneurial Behaviour, Research, and Teaching. This has enabled her to connect with many amazing rural, regional and remote women entrepreneurs, hearing their stories of success and challenges. Her ultimate joy lies in collaborating with curious minds and individuals hungry for personal growth in a space where they can be inspired, innovate, and grow together.
